Obama's First 12 Days: Russia, Iran, N. Korea Have Started Pushing America Around

Just like the Obama supporters would have you believe, it really IS a brand new day, full of hope and opportunity and joy! Wait, you mean you thought Obama's campaign promises were for US? Not exactly. But while Obama spreads his particular brand of hopelessness around American markets, world tyrants like Vladimir Putin, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and Kim Jong Il are acting like Boris Yeltsin at an open bar and wasting no time in making bellicose gestures designed to make America look bad.

While the American media busies itself trying to destroy anyone or anything that stands in the way of Obama's domestic agenda, Vladimir Putin is aggressively moving to establish Russian hegemony in the Arctic Circle, and claim for himself and his oligarchs in Mother Russia all of the mineral and fossil fuel wealth to be found there. The fact that the Democrats in charge now wouldn't allow the use of any of the resources doesn't really mitigate the fact that it makes America look weak.

While MSNBC replaces their tired George-Bush-is-the-root-of-all-evil theme with a newer and fresher Rush-Limbaugh-is-the-root-of-all-evil theme, North Korea is threatening war with South Korea, two days after tearing up all existing agreements with their southern neighbor. The North Koreans have pulled stunts like this for decades when they sense unfocused leadership in the US.

Of course, the media also ignores Obama's frustrated attempts to establish bro-mantic relations with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran. I've blogged about it extensively. The damage this does to our foreign status in Muslim countries is incalculable, and perhaps only exceeded by the amount of esteem gained in the Muslim world by Ahmadinejad and Iran.

How long will Obama and his peons in the media keep on pushing individual Americans around while Putin, Kim, et al see the bigger prize and push America around?

The US media is so busy covering for Barack Hussein Obama's manifest incompetence that they haven't paid much attention at all to the rumblings of aggression coming from around the world. In fact, media organs like the New York Times and the Washington Post and MSNBC seem to be too busy relentlessly attacking those seen as enemies of Obama and his policies to report on the enemies of America.

Obama: Elected on Hope, Governing with Hopelessness

Where's the hope? Like the little old lady in the Wendy's commercials from the 1980's, voters who supported Barack Hussein Obama in his bid for "hope" and "change" last year would be justified in asking that question. The rest of us are starting to.

Twelve days into it, the Obama administration has been long on change, but woefully lacking in hope. Add to that the fact that the changes haven't been exactly what his supporters were expecting, and you have to think that some of the voters are going to start reconnecting with their critical thinking faculties.

Obama didn't sound very hopeful in his weakly address this Saturday, and he hasn't been sounding very hopeful this week at all regarding our economy. He's been calling it a "disaster," and saying recovery will take "years, not months." I think a lot of us have seriously underestimated the damage a marxist with the bully pulpit can do to already reeling markets.

It's quite frankly a testament to the American spirit that there are still businesses being started while our economy is being used as a political punching bag. Some entrepreneurial individuals are seeing this as an opportunity, and not as a reason to run and hide.

Two of these entrepreneurs I know personally because they advertise on Evil Conservative Radio. Counting ECR itself, that makes three, so I know the struggles right now with financing and trying to sell in this environment. We'll continue to ignore Obama's calls for doom and gloom and try to provide for ourselves and grow our small enterprises, not wait for Obama to come and save us. But it sure would be nice if he'd shut up and stop scaring away investment and business.

Envirofascist Update: 2 Kids Should Be Max - Calls for More Abortion

Now that the socialists are gaining control of the world's largest economies, with promises of free this and stable that and entitlements to the other, it might be wise for us to ask "at what cost?"

The views of a guy like Jonathan Porrit, of the UK's Sustainable Development Commission, can give us a preview of the direction in which government policies are inevitably driven in a socialist state. He calls it irresponsible for families to have more than two children. The solution? More abortions. I wonder if any of the Christians who voted for Barack Obama are listening?

From The Times Online UK:

“I am unapologetic about asking people to connect up their own responsibility for their total environmental footprint and how they decide to procreate and how many children they think are appropriate,” Porritt said.

“I think we will work our way towards a position that says that having more than two children is irresponsible. It is the ghost at the table. We have all these big issues that everybody is looking at and then you don’t really hear anyone say the “p” word.”

Porritt, who has two children, intends to persuade environmental pressure groups to make population a focus of campaigning.

“Many organisations think it is not part of their business. My mission with the Friends of the Earth and the Greenpeaces of this world is to say: ‘You are betraying the interests of your members by refusing to address population issues and you are doing it for the wrong reasons because you think it is too controversial,” he said.

Porritt, a former chairman of the Green party, says the government must improve family planning, even if it means shifting money from curing illness to increasing contraception and abortion.

He said: “We still have one of the highest rates of teenage pregnancies in Europe and we still have relatively high levels of pregnancies going to birth, often among women who are not convinced they want to become mothers.

So now the UK has gotten itself into such a sorry state that they can't provide enough freebies for everyone. Is the future of Western society to condemn motherhood and large families? What does it portend for our future when children are no longer seen as a blessing, but as an environmental and social burden?

Barack Obama and his socialist ilk would have us all think that they can solve our problems and provide for us all. The long-term consequences of socialism are clear to see. Are we sure we want to go down this road?
